Yoko Matsuda is a registered nurse and midwife who worked in hospital settings before earning both her master’s and doctoral degrees at Osaka University. She then served as a psychiatric public health nurse in Japanese governmental institutions, later becoming a university faculty member. After four years as Professor of Nursing at Yamato University, she is currently Professor of Psychiatric Nursing at Osaka Aoyama University.
