Dark Cognition: Evidence for Psi and its Implications for Consciousness is an excellent candidate for a college textbook on the nature of consciousness and, in particular, the challenges of psi. The title refers to scientific mysteries that are “both difficult to comprehend and challenging to explain,” similar to the terms “dark energy” and “dark matter” as used in cosmology. Dark cognition then refers to aspects of human behavior and cognition that remain anomalous and are called psi. Chapters include discussions of methods and results used to study telepathy, clairvoyance, PK, “field consciousness,” energy healing, OBEs, NDEs, other post-death effects, and the implications of psi for understanding consciousness.
